This new apparel line was created to highlight aspects of the existing brand that give Maine Surfer’s Union its stature.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Maine Surfer’s Union in Portland, Maine is a surf and lifestyle store that has dedicated itself to delivering surfers the highest quality goods built for life on Maine’s rugged coastline.
Through their highly curated storefront, MSU has built a strong reputation in New England for being one of the few to offer 100% hand shaped boards, premium surf goods, and select work from local artists.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Putting Maine Surfer’s Union under a microscope allows you to see that simplicity, timelessness, and quality are woven into everything the brand stands for. Having the opportunity to create a new clothing line for the shop allowed for a unique combination of all these elements, and led to the creation of simple and timeless apparel that shines a light on what MSU means to those within the Maine surf community.
This collection features hand-drawn illustrations, strong typography, and unique looks that highlight what the brand stands for.
